About the Audits The +addITive+ Audit Programme builds on our very successful ‘Readiness-to-Computerise’ GIS Audits which we have used in more than a dozen local authorities. The starting point is the issuing of a questionnaire which has been ‘fine-tuned’ to the needs of the organisation following the initial discussions. The completed questionnaires rapidly help to identify the organisation’s existing strengths, and more importantly highlight the potential areas of weakness which the Audit should focus upon in more detail. The results of the Audit are presented to the client as a written report, which is discussed at a working meeting. If appropriate the Audit can include Training and Awareness Seminars for key staff, or be used as part of team building exercises (e.g. for the IT or GIS Steering Group). The outcome for the organisation is a clear set of step-by-step recommendations which enable it to directly improve the return from IT and GIS, backed up by an agreed action plan.
